This year has seen Gin increasingly become the on-trend drink. Boutique distilleries have created a bespoke variety to meet all tastes. Fresh herbs, fruit, spices, organic tonics are now delicately mixed to create what is described as the ‘perfect serve’.
At a recent ‘Pleasure Garden’ themed event in a medieval church Fizz teamed up with an Artisan supplier to deliver an interactive gin tasting. The evening was held for London’s legal elite and re-created a Victorian Pleasure garden where Gin’s murky history and renaissance hit just the right note.
There were a selection of 5 award winning Gins including Organic Black Tomato..a spicy Apple/honey with cinnamon, an extremely popular Rhubarb Gin all sipped neat to experience the tasting sensations or paired with handcrafted tonics and fresh garnishes.
Perfect Red Snapper
30ml of Black Tomato Gin
120ml of tomato juice
15ml of lemon juice
2 pinches of celery salt
2 grinds of Black pepper
Use the salt & pepper to rim your glass .add the rest of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.Shake and strain into your glass .garnish with a stick of celery.
Perfect Black Martini
50ml of Black Tomato Gin
15ml of Dry Belsazar Vermouth
Zest of lemon
Pour Gin and dry Vermouth into a cocktail shaker with ice shake well then drain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with lemon zest.
